Oak Canyon Astronomy Group

Oak Canyon Astronomy Group (OCAG) was formed in 2011 by Joe Napolitano as an educational outreach program in astronomy conducting hands-on stargazing with telescopes and classes for people of all ages at the Oak Canyon Community Park, only a half hour drive from the city center of Los Angeles. Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District partnered with the OCAG to conduct all of its astronomy science programs for the public, and continues to support the mission of OCAG by providing the entire park and lighting control.
OCAG became an Official Partner Organization of the AstronomyOutreach network in January of 2014. Restricted Donations to the OCAG through AstronomyOutreach network are welcome.
Outreach and Objectives
The vision and mission of OCAG is to promote scientific literacy through hands on activities and classes in astronomy in an urban setting.
