We hold meetings on the first Sunday of every month (second Sunday, if the first falls on a holiday weekend) at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship meeting room. The business portion of our meetings start at 7:00 p.m. when we discuss business, observing reports, and upcoming events. Our programs start at 7:45 p.m. which include presentations in astronomy and space science given by members and guest speakers. The meetings are free, and open to the public.
SHOULD I JOIN?
If you are the kind of person who wakes up at four in the morning to catch a comet on the horizon, are fascinated by the detailed physics of optics and astronomical phenomena, or just like learning about the beauty of the cosmos, you'll fit right in. You don't need a telescope or binoculars to join our society, your eyes will do while you learn to map the sky. Many of our members have telescopes, and they are happy to share the views.
