AstronomyOutreach Awards (the "AstroOscars") are awarded each year at the Winter Star Party in the Florida Keys to individuals and organizations for excellence in educational and public outreach in astronomy. Recipients are chosen by a vote of the members of the AstronomyOutreach network and announced by the AstronomyOutreach Awards Committee.
Recipients recieve a plaque and are recognized before an audience of their peers.
Oceanside Photo & Telescope is the underwriter of the AstronomyOutreach Awards.
